a trial......

Recently a friend of me asked me to design a logo for his org. I did it to some extend and for a small picture i was digging the web.

It was then i got this site sticking to my pick axe.

www.ratemydrawings.com

A nice site. simple interface of Ajax base. With a lot of artists, students hanging to it with their wonderful sketches. And some hot contests r too held.

I rate this site 8/10

The picture below(my trial) took less than 5 mins to draw, it's that much easy.

If u could make nice sketches with ur pen. Stick to this

For creating a picture there a list of 6 categories to choose from.

The interface is very simple, with 4 drawing tools to choose from.

It did have only one layer.( the other one is for guide with lesser opacity)

With zoom, undo, redo( 20 similar to default photoshop setting )

A colour picker similar to the one in normal windows applications.

And the application is made in flash( I think so )

It has 2 save options save to web and save for later the save to web is really to publish in the web.

It is really fun to see the out put, it 's like an animation.

To have a look click on the pictures below.

The site does give other options and code to publish in others sites or our own blogs as this one.

The rating system too is very nice. From 1 to 10 points.

But it does have an ink limit, u may be left with empty pot for larger or detailed sketches.

The following one gives u a view how it looks.

The below illustration is too created in that site.

Though the application is a newer version it does share some features of it's older version like the one below.

It was at school days i used to draw, after a long long time i did put some lines to make it seem a cartoon... ( does it seem so... )

Ok ok !!! i wont draw, here after, don't stone on me.

There is no restriction on number of illustrations the user is allowed to draw.

According to the site it is built up for conducting online drawing competition.

To work on it u need a browser capable of handling flash.

If your browser does'nt show up the application, follow the link getflashplayer and do as per the directions on the site.

These are Some nice pictures i liked at most, the shadows, the water almost everything seems perfect.
